Windows 11 Updates Error Something Didn't Go as Planned

When Windows 11 updates are hitting 90%+ but then failing and having to roll back, this may be a System partition ID issue.

WARNING THIS CAN BREAK YOUR WINDOWS INSTALLATION ENTIRELY, BE VERY CAREFUL, DO NOT ATTEMPT YOURSELF IF YOU ARE NOT FULLY COMFORTABLE WITH RECOVERING YOUR SYSTEM ON A TECHNICAL LEVEL.  THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE BILLABLE EVENT IF WE HAVE TO FIX FOR YOU BECAUSE SOMETHING WENT WRONG.

1. Open an Administrator Command Prompt

2. Type the following commands followed by enter key, one at a time, not including the portion that is in [brackets] but referencing:

diskpart

list disk

select disk # [# should match the disk where C drive is located, for example if Disk 0 is where the C drive/install drive is, the command would be select Disk 0 ]

list partition

select partition [System partition containing 100-260 MB boot partition, for example if System is listed at Partition 1, the command would be select partition 1 ]

SET ID=c12a7328-f81f-11d2-ba4b-00a0c93ec93b

exit
